Normand Rene’ Poulin of Lincoln, RI

It is with great sadness and a broken heart that we announce the unexpected passing of our brother Normand Rene’ Poulin on March 21st.

Normand was born to his parents Martha (Bedard) and Rene’ Poulin. He leaves behind his brothers Robert and Richard and sisters Anne and Sharon. He also leaves behind nieces Hailie and Sadie whom he considered his daughters as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews with whom he devoted much of his life to.

Normand worked many years as a Hospice Chaplain in New Mexico and returned home to be with this family. Normand was extremely gifted and had many talents. Some of his previous careers was a Social Worker, Gourmet Pastry Chef and Interior Designer. He had a special connection to nature and enjoyed taking long walks, being by the ocean and traveling to his favorite places in Swampscott, Massachusetts, and Mystic and Stonington Connecticut. Normand was also a food enthusiast with a LOVE of food, coffee cafes, favorite cappuccino and flowers as well as shopping at his favorite place “Simple Pleasures” in Charlestown . One of his favorite things to do was breakfast with his siblings and his LONG RIDES and he was the BEST tour guide ever.

Normand leaves an indelible impression on those who called him son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend, teacher and mentor. FAMILY meant everything to Normand. His brilliant welcoming spirit, radiant smile, and compassionate heart captivated everyone who had the chance to know him. Normand was very spiritual and was the Patriarch of the family and the go to person whenever someone needed guidance and support no matter what time of day or night. We always looked forward to his daily texts of encouragement that he would send to all of his family members.

Normand will forever be remembered as a generous, kind-hearted and loving man who always unselfishly lent a helping hand to anyone in need and never expected anything in return. As all would attest, he has left this world a better place. In his memory, let us all follow his humble example and do our best each day to reach out to others and "Pay it Forward".

At the request of the family services will be private.
